Anchorage, AK – The news about suicide in Alaska is both disappointing, and inspiring, according to the chairman of the Suicide Prevention Council. About $19 million dollars is available to clean up radioactive waste, and contaminants such as petroleum products, solvents, and PCBs - left from military operations in two areas: the Colville River on the North Slope, and the Northeast Cape area of St. Lawrence Island in the Bering Sea. The Alaska Native Medical Center celebrates Russian Christmas.
