Anchorage, AK – Festivities included a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus, gifts and books for children up to age 18, dinner, and live music by the Air Force Band of the Pacific. For many of the children, it was the first time they'd ever had soft ice cream sundaes, supplied by the Anchorage Tastee Freeze. The food, books and gifts were all donated. About 75 volunteers helped out during the event, as well as maybe a dozen Alaska National guardsmen, Army soldiers, and Air Force airmen.
