Anchorage, AK – Anchorage School Board members are reviewing a budget the superintendent says includes disruptive and disappointing cuts that will have a major impact on programs for many students. The Federal Subsistence Board considers changes to regulations governing fishing on the Yukon River, including one that allows people to engage in customary trade, including sales, of subsistence-caught fish. The state has opened fishing in the western Aleutians contradicting closures in nearby federal waters.
