Anchorage, AK – A wind turbine erected in Sitka will help with physics and math lessons at the statewide boarding school Mt. Edgecumbe, as well as with U.S. Coast Guard and Sitka Utility studies. Fairbanks has had several air alerts, but residents recently voted to reduce options for the borough to manage the burning of wood and coal, the main sources of particulate matter causing health problems. Alaska Airlines is offering discount fares for travel to Juneau during the Legislative session.
