Anchorage, AK – Legislators have voted for a ten-year extension of a film tax credit incentive program launched in 2008. They've upped the incentives for Alaska hire and rural filming. The program ties local hire to tax credit rates for high end film expenses - money paid to producers, directors, screenwriters, and major actors. SB Bill 23 includes provisions for script review so as not to provide incentives for a movie that would affect public perception of state policy on resource development.
