Anchorage, AK – Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski has introduced legislation that would let patients and doctors negotiate fees to make up the difference between doctor's fees and Medicare reimbursement rates. Critics say it doesn't do enough for middle- and low-income seniors. The Breast Cancer Fund president and CEO says exposure to chemicals is causing Alaskans to suffer high rates of breast cancer, and Natives even higher rates. Governor Sean Parnell seeks federal aid for two Kuskokwim River villages.
