AFN Convention

nativefederation.org

The convention was Thursday October 15 through Saturday October 17 at the Dena'ina Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The annual broadcast was carried on public radio stations across Alaska!

Our live Gavel-to-Gavel broadcast was hosted by KNBA News Director Joaqlin Estus (Tlingit) who took us through the important podium speeches and issues.

Antonia Gonzales (Navajo), producer and anchor of National Native News, kept us in touch with key attendees during our daily lunch-hour program called Alaska’s Native Voice.

For over 18 years stations from Barrow to Bethel to the Aleutian Chain have carried KNBA produced programming. In addition to the live, Gavel-to-Gavel coverage and the hour-long Alaska's Native Voice program, KNBA provided newscast updates each day of the convention, in English and in Yup’ik, Inupiaq, Tlingit and Athabascan.

KNBA Thanks this year’s Sponsors of the AFN Broadcast:
