Anchorage, AK – Experts say the village of Newtok will disappear in coming years, as erosion and winter storms undermine then wash away buildings and infrastructure. The barge dock is already gone, and the village even became an island not too long ago, due to winter storms. The summer of 2010, military reservists from California, Michigan, and New York are working to build a road at the new village site.
