One of the final events of AFN was the IndigeDance Finals, emceed by Southcentral Foundation's Crystal Marrs, who graced the stage with beautiful white buckskin regalia honoring her Athabascan and Al - it came down to three groups:

Acilquq Dancers - Presented an original composition that started quietly, and finished in a bombastic celebration of the end of warfare

Friendship Dancers - Represented the Dena'ina area with youthful Athabascan traditional sound

Yurapik Drummers and Dancer Group -  traditional Yup'ik dance group with roots in Western Alaska - started with in-depth explanations of the movements and a colorful representation of qaspeqs from the region.

The judges were sweating hard but came to a decision - the Acilquq Dancers won!
