Indigo Girls On Mountain Stage

Indigo Girls appears on Mountain Stage, recorded live in Charleston, W.Va. One of the finest folk-rock duos of all time, Indigo Girls first began visiting Mountain Stage 25 years ago, in 1991. And from their band's beginnings in Georgia to its major-label success and beyond, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have remained true to their artistic vision and devoted fan base. The two have performed together for over 35 years, released 16 albums (seven gold, four platinum and one double platinum) and earned one Grammy award and seven more Grammy nominations.

The pair famously live separate lives, rarely writing together and regularly taking on independent projects. But they share a fidelity to their creative values and an artistic kinship that is rare, cosmic and lasting. Ray and Saliers are joined for this set by multi-instrumentalist Lyris Hung on violin, dulcimer and bouzouki.
