Friday February 6, 2015.
Our neighbor from the Yukon, Gordie Tentrees, joined me live on the radio to share some music and conversation. He's playing Anchorage, Talkeetna and Palmer February 6 - 8th along with locals Melissa Mitchell and Spiff.
Hey folks, hope your well, thanks to global warming we are having record warm temperatures in the north. Feel free to come visit, the cold frigid air has left us.
We are in the final mixing stages of the new album “Less is More” produced by Juno award winning studio whiz Bob Hamilton, featuring Mary Gauthier’s “Camelot Hotel” and the sweet harmonies of Catherine Maclellan. We feel really happy about it and after whittling down to 11 songs from 35, it feels like the strongest album yet. The album gets released in Canada Apr. 24, USA Sept. 8, and Europe/UK Nov. 5. Joining me will be Jaxon Haldane, former frontman for the infamous Canadian band the D-Rangers, he will be opening all the shows, and joining me on Banjo, Mandolin and Fiddle Saw. He is super talented and a great writer. Get a ticket!
Really happy to announce some amazing tours in the new year, I return to Alaska (Feb. 3-9), its been a moment, Melissa Mitchell and Spiff Chambers will be joining me for a songwriters caravan of sorts, we hit Anchorage, Talkeetna, Girdwood and Palmer areas. I make my first trek (solo) to Australia (Feb. 20-Mar. 10) with 16 concerts in the NSW, QLDS and VIC areas, higlighted by the Cobargo Folk Festival. Tickets, show dates and info right here.
Having never imagined going to Australia let alone on a tour playing my little songs, I am so grateful. The beauty of this incredible journey is the opportunity to travel and experience the road, the people, and the places.
