In today's Our Community Segment, Danny Preston speaks with Tommy O'Malley, FASD Program Manager. FASD is an abbreviation for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Today, September 9th, is national FASD awareness day. This day also serves a significance relating to none for nine, no consuming of alcohol within the 9 months of pregnancy. It is a preventable birth condition and it is completely avoidable. Tonight there will be an event for FASD awareness day at the Anchorage School District building on Debbar and Boniface, which starts from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.
