KNBA keeping you in tuned with Our Community! In today's Our Community segment, Danny Preston speaks with Troubadour and master storyteller Randy Rutherford! Randy came to Alaska originally from the Airforce, having to decide to be stationed in this state or Vietnam. After being stationed in Alaska, he traveled to Hawaii, experienced what the state had to offer, then had dreams of becoming an actor in New York City. It ended up not working, leading to Randy becoming a bartender at the local Gaslight which sparked his musical interest. It's truly a gift to join Rutherford on this heart-felt reminiscence of his days in 1970's Anchorage, Alaska, where he began living his "ramblin' man" dream, found (and lost) his true love”and got diagnosed with congenital hearing loss. He will be performing at the Taproot this Saturday, November 8th from 7PM to 9PM. For more information, visit: http://taprootalaska.com/troubadour-and-master-storyteller-randy-rutherford-4/
