KNBA keeping you in tuned with Our Community! In today's segment, Danny Preston speaks with Dawn Biddison, Monica Shah, and Rod K about an upcoming event happening this weekend.

The project, Urban Interventions: Skate Art, is a joint program of the Smithsonian Arctic Studies center at the Anchorage Museum. The project is a way to reach out to Anchorage teenagers so that they get a chance to visit the museum. The museum will be  providing a class for teens that will be aimed to create healthy and athletic expressions. This Friday, Jim Murphy, a skateboarder, an artist from New York City, and a co founder of the Strong Hold society that works nationally with native and non-native kids, will be speaking and giving a video presentation at the Anchorage Museum. On the following day, Saturday August 16, there will be a class with students from different community partnerships. On the final day of the event, there will be a skate jam hosted and DJ'ed by KNBA's own Shyanne Beatty! The Skate Jam will be at the Spenard Recreation Center from 3-5 PM on Sunday August 17.
