3/7/14 KNBA News - Five Arctic nations agree the Arctic Ocean is off limits for commercial fishing

Five nations have agreed to ban commercial fishing in the Arctic Ocean beyond their 200-mile exclusive economic zone until more research on fish stocks is done.

To protect the lowest returns on record of King, or Chinook, salmon to the Kuskokwim River, subsistence fishermen on the river will face serious fishing restrictions.

Three teens showed up on the Kenai Peninsula with chickenpox, so health officials are urging people who are not immune to it to get vaccinated against the highly contagious virus.
