5/15/14 KNBA News - Alaska Democrats meet in Nome for annual convention

Continuing to build its grassroots campaign for the November elections is on the agenda of the Alaska Democratic party meeting in Nome.

Moose hunting on the North Slope has been closed due to a dramatic drop in the moose population, which is down from 50 to 75% in different areas.

A challenge to Alaska's same-sex marriage ban was filed Monday in Federal court.

3/17/14 KNBA News - Eastern Interior Alaska Natives ask Congress to okay fish, game co-management

Ahtna, the Native for-profit corporation for Eastern Interior Alaska, asks Congress to approve its proposal to co-manage fish and game on its lands, saying Natives can't compete with people who travel to the region by road to hunt.
