The Alaska Volcano Observatory reports the Pavlof volcano continues to rumble and explode but is no longer sending up massive ash clouds. Drifting ash has dispersed and there are no National Weather Service aviation or ash fall advisories in effect. However, the Observatory cautions it is possible for conditions at the Pavlov volacano to change at any time with little to no warning. 

Crime bill would reinvest savings in rehabilitation to help keep criminals from re-entering prison

Senate Bill 91, the omnibus crime bill, is working its way through the House Finance Committee. In its current form, it would save the state about $150 million over the next five years. But about $100 million of that would be reinvested into programs aimed at making the community safer.
